What kind of scanner does DT Tax and Accounting recommend?

We recommend a quality, high-speed, TWAIN-compliant scanner built for office document scanning (i.e. Fujitsu fi-6130 or fi-6230).
Scanning speed is critical in transitioning to a paperless office, so you should purchase a scanner designed for business use. A scanner with an automatic document feeder (ADF) capable of scanning irregular-sized paper documents, as DT ScanDoc will allow you to scan multiple pages and irregularly-sized documents at once.
Scanners that meet these requirements should work with DT ScanDoc, but some work better with DT ScanDoc than others. Generally, Fujitsu sheet-fed scanners perform very well with DT ScanDoc. Most All-In-One devices do not handle a variety of document sizes and flat-bed scanners are slow; sheet-fed models are therefore highly recommended.
Special Fujitsu pricing is available to DT Tax and Accounting customers. For more information, call our Sales Team at 1-800-663-7829.

Fujitsu fi-6130 is the recommended model for most offices.

**Note: Fujitsu ScanSnap models are not TWAIN compatible. Fujitsu scanners are designed to meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. However, basic care is required to keep them working at their optimal performance level. ScanAid kits provide you with the tools you need to keep your scanner running smoothly and efficiently, pad assemblies, pick roller and cleaning kit. These kits are recommended after approximately 100,000 scanned images.
